Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable test frameworks for modern web applications within a fast-growing product team building AI-powered web applications. Your goal is to catch defects early, reduce post-release fixes, and build confidence in every product release. You'll start by focusing on web application testing with future opportunities to expand into mobile app testing as we grow.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated scripts to ensure software quality
• Develop and maintain automated end-to-end and cross-browser tests using Playwright and TypeScript, with API testing using Postman or Supertest
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing to identify bugs and defects
• Conduct thorough reviews of product specifications and software design to identify potential issues before testing begins
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and testing needs
• Identify, document, and track software defects with clear communication of issues and resolutions
• Integrate and maintain automated test suites within existing CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline

Must Have Criteria

• 4-6 years of experience in QA automation testing with focus on web applications
• 2-3+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright for web test automation
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript programming languages
• Experience testing web applications serving 50K+ concurrent users or similar scale
• Experience with cross-browser testing across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge using Playwright and cloud platforms such as BrowserStack or LambdaTest
• Experience with API testing using Postman or Supertest tools
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably AWS CodePipeline or similar tools

Nice to Have

• Experience with Cypress or Selenium as complementary automation frameworks
• Mobile app testing experience (iOS/Android) for future expansion opportunities
• Performance testing experience using JMeter or Locust tools
• ISTQB Foundation certification in software testing
• Experience testing AI agents, LLM outputs, or chatbot behavior for AI-powered features expansion
